Easter is a wonderful time for celebrating and spending time with loved ones! It can also being a time of overcommitting, and overindulging, often leaving is feeling a little worse for wear! BUT… It is possible to make healthier and relaxing choices during this festive season. 

Here are some tips for making a healthier Easter:

  1. Choose dark chocolate: opting for dark chocolate with a high percentage of cocoa has less sugar and is rich in antioxidants, while also DELICIOUS.

  2. Fit more fruits and vegetables: Incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your Easter meals. Roast some vegetables for your Easter dinner, and serve fruit as a dessert.

  3. Avoid fried foods: Instead of fried foods, try baking, air frying, grilling, or broiling your meats and vegetables.

  4. Use some new recipes like steaming, roasting, or sautéing salads to spice things up

  5. Listen to your hunger cues: enjoy your favourites, remembering that you can stop when you are full, you don’t have to eat until you have a belly ache

  6. Drink plenty of water: Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Fancy your water up by adding lime, berries, mint and a splash of soda water

  7. Try some new healthy swaps: Instead of using heavy cream or butter in your recipes, try using Greek yogurt or avocado to add creaminess.
