HAPPY NEW YEAR Lets talk ... resolutions

New Year’s Resolutions can be daunting, overwhelming and exciting, all at the same time!

For years I have worked with clients who set their year up with resolutions, often facing challenges early on, for a range of reasons…

🛑The resolution is too vague
🛑The resolution has no meaning to the client
🛑The resolution is to please someone else
🛑The resolution is too overwhelming
🛑The resolution has no action or “how to” strategy

➡️ I prefer to to think of resolutions as goals, and break them down to make them more achievable, to set my clients up for success!

Instead of
“I want to be skinny by the end of the year”, a more achievable resolution could be
“I am working towards a healthier me, by choosing healthy meals five days a week and exercising three days a week”.

Here are5️⃣ key questions to ask yourself when setting your goals!

  1. Why is this goal/resolution important to me?

  2. What supports do I have to help me reach my goal/resolution?

  3. What challenges might I face on the journey to my goal/resolution?

  4. What are small steps I can take each day to move towards my goal/resolution?

  5. How will I know I have reached my goal/resolution
